ABOUT COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP

Community Action Partnerships were created in 1964 under legislation signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson.  South Central Community Action Partnership was founded in 1967 as a result of this legislation.  We have five core programs that provide service to low-income families and individuals. 

Thousands of Americans will reach self-sufficiency because of Community Action Partnerships. We identify problems and help find real solutions by offering life skills classes and job training, housing assistance, nutrition programs, child care and family development programs.
 

We have an eighteen member Board of Directors, comprised of 1/3 public sector, 1/3 private sector, and 1/3 low-income sector representing the three county areas (Mini-Cassia, Northern, and Twin Falls).


Our eight county service area includes three offices:
