Community Services Block Grant Program (CSBG) assists low-income families and individuals by looking at all their needs and resources to reduce barriers by utilizing several programs such as:

  • Information and Referrals
  • Family Development
  • Budgeting
  • USDA Emergency Food Assistance Program (Food/Nutrition TEFAP)
  • Emergency Medical Program
  • Rental/Mortgage Assistance Program
  • Utility Assistance Program
  • Telephone Assistance
  • Homeless Assistance Program
  • Youth Assistance
  • Transportation Assistance
  • Back to School Program


These programs operate at 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (Income Guidelines) except for USDA Emergency Food Assistance Program known as TEFAP

Please call 208-733-9351 or 800-627-1733, Services are available Monday thru Thursday by appointment. Food boxes are available Monday thru Thursday beginning at 8:00am. Items that are needed for assistance are:

A photo ID for the person coming into apply
Social Security cards for each member of the household
Proof of income for the last 30 days (90 days proof of income for power or gas bills) for each household member over the age of 18. If anyone over 18 does not have income then a Screen 7 and Projection Screen must be obtained for the Department of Labor located at 420 Falls Ave., Twin Falls.
Depending on what you are needing assistance with (power, rent, etc) you will need to bring the shut off notice, eviction notice, etc.
