South Central Community Action Partnership (SCCAP) is accepting applications in the Twin Falls Office for the following positions:

Would you like to assist low-income elderly, disabled, veterans and families with young children in making their homes more energy efficient? How about doing all that AND getting paid to do it?

Low-Income Representative for Minidoka and Cassia Counties & Private Sector Representative in Minidoka and Cassia Counties.

South Central Community Action Partnership is seeking applicants interested in serving as an elected Low-Income Representative for Minidoka and Cassia Counties and as a Private Sector Representative in Minidoka and Cassia Counties. Applicants must reside or work within an associated county.

The Low-Income Representative is selected through an election process by low-income. The Low-Income representative must be either income eligible and aware of the problems affecting low-income families, or currently working with low-income families and willing to speak up for their needs and be willing to support the agency’s mission, which is “To provide a wide range of support services in an effort to improve the quality of life for people with an economic disadvantage”.

Representatives of Private Groups, Interests & Agencies
The private sector shall draw representation from among private social agencies, private educational institutions, and constituencies of the low-income concerned with specific problems and other private organizations within the community.

Low-Income participants are encouraged to vote for their representative of choice to serve their interests on the Board of Directors on September 21, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and to 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 550 Washington Street South Twin Falls.

Weatherization/Energy Technician

This position will assist in such activities to help make homes more energy efficient including, but not limited to attic, floor and wall insulation, air sealing and installation of new windows and doors. Positions will be open in Twin Falls and Burley. Starting at $12.22/hr with benefits or more depending on experience. This is NOT an administrative or office position. It is construction-based.

SCCAP provides energy conservation measures to qualifying homes throughout the Magic Valley. This is full-time, 10-hours per day, 4 days per week. Benefits offered include: insurance options, vacation/sick leave and paid holidays. All tools and equipment are provided as well as transportation to and from job sites.
